Chinese Soup Dumplings

  1. Place flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Place milk in a small pan on medium-high heat. Add butter and remove from heat when butter is melted. Let cool slightly; mixture should just be warm. Add egg yolk, whisking to combine.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well until it becomes a dough..
  4. Roll dough out into ropes about 1-in (2.5 cm) wide and cut into ¼-in (0.5 cm) lengths.
